Who We Are
Fanusi is a Swahili name for the lamp at the back of a dhow that guides other dhows safely to harbour. The centre provides a forum for the professional, cultural, spiritual and social development of the residents and other students who frequent Fanusi through leadership programs, workshops, community outreach, personality development sessions, professional clubs, spiritual activities among others.
What We Do

Welcome to Fanusi Study Centre
A harbour for the holistic growth of university ladies. We are located along Dorobo road; right next to Nairobi Primary School. We offer the following facilities:
RESIDENCE
At Fanusi residence, university ladies are provided with accommodation that heralds a serious study atmosphere as well as a family ambiance. The close proximity of Fanusi to the universities located in or near the CBD is also advantageous to the students.
LIBRARY & CONFERENCE ROOM
A spacious and well stocked library is made available to students. Literary material on Arts, Science, Law, Medicine and Mathematics, are provided here, not forgetting cultural material like novels and encyclopedias. We also have a conference room suitable for round-tables discussions.
CHAPEL
A beautiful oratory where one can do personal prayer in front of the Blessed Sacrament. This is where we have spiritual activities such as weekly meditations, daily Mass, monthly recollections and confessions
Clubs

MEDICS
This is the club for the Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy & Public Health students. Come and interact with people in your field. Get a better understanding for the Ethics involved in medicine.
BOOK CLUB
For lovers of novels, literature students. This is the club for the thinkers and lovers of imagination who are looking for ways to grow in culture. Let us travel the world with our imagination!
ADVENTURE CLUB
Our country has so many beautiful creatures and features.
This is an oppotunity for us to travel and appreciate it.

PLIC TANK
This is a club for students doing Engineering, Survey, Construction. This is a good opportunity to interact with people and get more ideas of how to build your career in the country.
ECON CLUB
This is a club that is best suited for students doing Economics and Business. It involves understanding the market i.e. supply and demand, understanding the different fields involved.
THE REPUBLIC
There is no better club for the lawyers and Humanities (History Philosophy, Anthropology) students than the Republic. This is an opportunity to get to know and interact with other people in the same field.
BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE
We can not forget the entrepreneurs in the country. This is a club for anyone who wants to make money! This is an opportunity to journey with the different entrepreneurs who have made it in life.
UNIV CONGRESS
It is an annual international university congress that takes place in Rome during Holy Week. Each year a relevant aspect of our culture is chosen as the theme of the congress.

Fanusi Alumnae
These are ladies who have blossomed and flourished as a consequence of taking part in the past activities offered at Fanusi. Having benefitted from this, they are more than willing to lending a hand.
Fanusi alumnae is an important part of the Study Centre as it provides support for the activities run in the Study Centre, especially through mentoring and professional career advice.
MISSION-To nurture a two-way nourishing relationship between the Fanusi Alumnae and Fanusi Study Centre.
VISION– To have a vibrant alumnae to which current students will be eager to transit to on completing college/university and where the alumnae and the study centre have a mutually beneficial relationship.
