Fanusi Residence was established in 1987. A project of Kianda Foundation, the centre provides a forum for the professional, cultural, spiritual development of the residents and other students who frequent Fanusi through leadership programs, workshops, community outreach, personality sessions, professional clubs, spiritual activities among others.
We encourage our students to put their knowledge at the service of less privileged ladies through community projects in the rural areas and Nairobi slums. These projects enable many ladies to set up a means of livelihood for themselves and for their families, as well as awakening the social consciousness of the students, who are greatly encouraged by the results of their efforts.
The doctrinal and spiritual formation given at Fanusi Study Centre is entrusted to Opus Dei, a personal prelature of the Catholic Church.
Our Vision
To bring about a positive change in society by working together with university ladies for their holistic personal development.
Our Mission Statement
To encourage the students to pursue academic excellence and foster a concern for other people’s well being; both their colleagues and the less fortunate, while at the same time developing their inner selves by struggling to acquire virtue and deepen their relationship with God.
